Snapshots
When Active is on under Snapshots in the camera profile, a still image is attached to each alarm the camera raises. The snapshot lets personnel see the situation quickly before deciding whether to open the video stream.

Where snapshots appear
- Event-based supervision: on the alarm raised by the event.
- Planned supervision: on the scheduled alarm, for quick clarification.
Snapshots appear only if they are on in the profile of the camera that raised the alarm.
Anonymization
Snapshots follow the same anonymization as the video. The Anonymization row under Snapshots shows Same as the video. When the policy is Off, snapshots are not anonymized. See Anonymization.
Good to know
- Profiles made from a device group keep the Anonymize snapshots setting the device group had. On those profiles, the Anonymization row is a switch, and snapshots can be unanonymized even when the video is anonymized.
- Snapshots are not taken when continuous supervision is active on the profile.
