Video stream availability
Video stream availability decides when personnel can open the live video stream from a camera. It is a weekly schedule, set per camera on the user's profile. It only affects the video stream.
For / Required Role: Technician
See the schedule
- Go to Users and open the user.
- Go to Camera supervision. Each camera card shows Camera stream availability:
- A green dot means the stream can be opened now; a red dot means it can't.
- 24/7 means the stream can be opened at any time.
- Otherwise, hover over Show timeschedule to see the times for each day.
While the user's cameras are deactivated, the card shows how long is left. See Deactivating cameras.
Change the schedule
- On the camera card, select the edit icon next to Camera stream availability. Change Time Restriction opens with a calendar for the week.
- Change the time ranges:
- Drag in a day's column to add a time range.
- Drag the arrows at the top or bottom of a range to change its start or end.
- Drag the arrows together to remove a range.
- Select Update.
Advanced Editor
If the schedule is too complex for the calendar, select Advanced Editor and write it as text, with English day names. For example, for a night from Monday to Tuesday: Mo 22:00-24:00; Tu 00:00-08:00. Update stays unavailable until the text is valid.
Good to know
- The schedule is set for one camera at a time.
- The camera profile also affects video: it decides anonymization, how long a stream lasts, whether the stream can be opened outside planned supervision, and whether technicians can open it outside this schedule. See Advanced settings.
