Two-way speech
Two-way speech lets personnel talk to the user through the camera while the live video stream is open, and hear the reply. It uses the camera's built-in microphone and speaker. Two-way speech is only available on cameras where it is set up.

Talk to the user
- Open the live video stream from the alarm, and select the arrow on the edge of the player to show the buttons. Read more in Video stream.
- Make sure the sound is on. Microphone only works while the video is playing and the sound is not muted.
- Select Microphone and speak. The microphone turns green when the connection is open.
- Select Microphone again to stop.
A conversation stops by itself after one minute. Select Microphone again to continue.
Good to know
- The first time, the phone or browser asks for access to the microphone. If access is denied, you see Microphone Access Denied. Allow microphone access in the phone or browser settings.
- Two-way speech works on Axis M1075-L and M1075-L Mk II.
- Starting two-way speech is written to the audit log.
- There may be a short delay in the sound, depending on the network.
- Two-way speech also works when the live video stream is opened from a partner application, if the partner application allows microphone access. Not all partner applications do.
