Introduction to TelluVision

TelluVision is camera-based digital supervision for care services. It helps personnel keep users safe, whether they live in their own homes, in care homes or in institutions, without being physically present in the room.

How it works

Part What it does
Camera TCAP (Tellu Camera Application) runs on the camera. For event-based supervision, it analyses the room on the camera itself and sends only classified events, never video.
TelluCare Where users, cameras and settings are managed, and where alarms are raised from schedules and events.
TelluCare or a partner system Where personnel receive alarms and open video.

Video is not stored. Live video is only available when someone opens it, and camera profiles decide whether it is anonymized.

Types of supervision

Type What it is
Planned supervision Scheduled alarms. If snapshots are on in the camera profile, a snapshot is attached to the alarm for quick clarification, and the video stream can be opened from the alarm card.
Event-based supervision An alarm is raised when the camera detects a specific situation, such as a fall or a user leaving the bed.
Continuous supervision An uninterrupted video stream, with optional sound monitoring, for users who need round-the-clock supervision.
Unplanned supervision A responder checks on the user on video when needed, outside an alarm or a planned supervision.

Continuous supervision must be switched on for the account.

Roles

Role Responsible for
Administrator The organisational structure and personnel.
Technician Cameras, users and the link between them: mounting, attaching, alarm settings and forwarding.
Responder Receiving and handling alarms.

Deployment scenarios

Scenario How it works
Standalone TelluCare is the main system. Alarms appear in TelluCare, and all roles work there.
Integrated Alarms are forwarded to a partner system, such as a nurse call or response application. Responders work in the partner system and open video through an embedded player. In TelluCare, the Technician is usually the main role.

Each page in this documentation says which scenario it applies to.

Your account and support

Support sets up your TelluCare account with the products and features you have bought, and connects it to your partner system if you use one. If something doesn't work, contact Support. See Operations and troubleshooting β€Ί Getting support.
