In TelluCare, cameras first have to be added to the health provider before they can be assigned to patients. New cameras can be added to the customer account in the Camera Setup page. Here you will find a summary of how to set up a new camera.
Adding a camera using the button called Add camera in the Cameras page only adds cameras to TelluCare, which have already been registered before. However, new cameras can’t be added this way. This part of the document describes how to set up a new camera in TelluCare.
Part A: Entering details and begin provisioning
Setting up a new camera in TelluCare is called “provisioning”. To provision a new camera, follow these steps as shown in the video:
-
Keep the camera unplugged.
-
Go to the Camera Setup page.
-
Choose the camera model and switch on the desired software features. Not all software features are available on all camera models.
-
Choose your Morphean customer/Site. This is created by Tellu while creating a customer account with a requirement for digital camera based supervision.
-
Choose a TelluCare Device Group. This can be changed later as well.
-
Enter the Serial Number / MAC and the OAK number. This can be found inside the camera box.
-
Give a name to the camera, preferably unique.
-
Click Provision.
This will begin the automated provisioning process for the camera.
Part B: One Click Setup
When the status for provisioning says “Waiting for green signal from Morphean”, it is time to continue with the one click setup.
This step needs to be done carefully. Please read and understand all steps first and only then start this part.

When the LED turns green, press the control button on the camera, and keep it pressed, until the status LED flashes green.
-
When the Status LED has stopped flashing, and is steady green, let go of the control button.
-
The provisioning process should continue after a few minutes.
-
Wait for the provisioning process to finish.
Part C: Viewing the camera stream
After the provisioning process is complete, you can verify if the camera was provisioned successfully by viewing the camera stream. To view the camera stream:
-
Go to the Cameras page.
-
Find the camera and click on the play button, shown with a slideshow icon.
-
The video feed should load in a few seconds.
The video feed is only available while the camera is not attached to any patients.
